We had a fun day!
In the morning JKs had gym class, snacks and morning circle time with show and tell presented by Noorah.
Next, we worked on our journals. JKs are getting better at their sight words. Here are some of the sight words we have been practicing writing and reading: can, the, my, is, up, are, to and you.
For the rest of the time we had left before heading to lunch, we practiced our Arts Night song.
In the afternoon we played a fun math game called Picnic measurement. Students had a "ruler" made out of picture of ants on a paper strip. They used the "ruler" to measure each item from the picnic.
After that we had reading groups and after recess we visited Ms. Smith's class as they presented a project about traditional cultural dress.
It was great to see everyone on their jerseys today!
