Cold Wednesday!
Today we had a great day!
In the morning JKs had gym class, snacks and morning circle time.
In language arts we went for a letter hunt in the hallways, take a look at pictures and videos. Then we completed our journals. Today JKs were instructed to complete the following sentence: "Snow is _____." Students have been practicing starting the sentence with uppercase, using finger space and end the sentence with a period.
After lunch and recess JKs had French and math. In math we did a cut and paste pattern activity and used pattern blocks to create patterns.
After second lunch and recess JKs had centers.

Cold Tuesday! :)
We had a great Tuesday!
In the morning JKs had gym class, snacks and morning circle time.
In language arts we completed our journals. Today JKs were instructed to complete the following sentence/list: "S is for:_____." They were asked to list 3 words which started with S. First we made a list on the board, so they could copy.
For the early finishers we had books to read.
After lunch and indoor recess we had French and math.
In math JKs worked on numeracy. They completed pages from the workbook ABC 123.
To finish off the day, we had reading buddies. Today the reading buddies practiced the poems with the JKs!

MARCH BREAK
March Break Camp registration forms were sent home back in October. We have had many students sign up since then and especially over the last few days. If you are interested in registering your chid for our March Break camp, please send in the completed registration form, along with the $20 one-time non-refundable deposit in order to secure your child's spot (this could be paid in cash or through fresh books). This year there are two options to chose from the first being lunch and two snacks provided or the second being send your own packed lunch and a discounted camp rate! In the afternoon we had French class and math. In math we worked on number writing and on number pattern.
After second lunch and recess JKs enjoyed centers time.

REGISTRATIONS - IMPORTANT
Dear SJA Parents and Guardians,
As you are aware, the re-registration season is upon us and we have recently sent home
packages with your child(ren). We value your loyalty and commitment to our school
community and would love to continue our partnership by offering priority enrollment for our
current SJA families.
We kindly ask that you take a moment to review your financial statement and complete the
information in the package and make any necessary changes to your place of residence,
employment, email changes or any medical information that the administration should be
aware of.
Please be aware that in order to secure your child’s enrolment, it is imperative that you submit
your re-enrollment package and fees no later than February 12, 2018 at 4:00pm. After this
date, all available grade-level spaces will be open to our families on waitlists who will then have
the opportunity to secure any vacant positions.

Next, we worked on beginning sounds where JKs had to look at the picture and write the beginning sound. Then we sang our phonics song and practiced writing the letter R on the dry erase boards.
After lunch and recess, we practiced our poems and had some math centers. In math centers, JKs were encouraged to build ABC and AAB patterns.
After second lunch and recess, we had centers.
