We had an awesome day together!
JKs started the morning with assembly in the auditorium, followed by gym class, snacks, calendar, "Me Bag" presentations and music class.
In language arts we met our animal friend of the week: Alexander Alligator. JKs then learned our phonics song. To reinforce the letter A identification, JKs put on their detective hats and found all letter As on their page.
After lunch and recess we had French class.
In UOI/Math we started by listening to a book titled "Too Much Junk".
Then as a class, we had to sort out all the food items on the carpet. Some were healthy and some were not so healthy. Everyone participated really well in this activity.
After last snack/recess, we had centers. During this time, I started the letters and sounds assessment calling students one by one. This takes some time to be completed, but once complete I'm happy to discuss the results with you!
Have a great evening everyone!
