Today we began the day with gym class, morning circle time and snacks.
In language arts we completed our journals where students used simple writing conventions such as beginning the sentence with upper case, use of finger spacing and end the sentence with a period.
Next, we sung our Big, Pig song which help students to understand the short sound of I and memorize/read short words such as pig, fig, wig, big and jig.
After lunch and indoor recess, JKs had French class and as an introduction to our new measurements unit, we did some Easter related math activity. JKs used cubes to measure how tall the pictures are and then they recorded the numbers on their paper.
After second lunch and indoor recess, we had reading groups and centers.
Have a great evening everyone!
