What a great day with these kiddos!
In the morning we had gym class, snacks and morning circle time.
In language arts we met our new animal friend of the week: Rusty Rooster and learned our phonics song. Next we completed a couple of pages of our Writing with Phonics workbook to help us remember the correct formation of the letter R (uppercase and lowercase).
Then we talked about something new we are starting tomorrow: journals! JKs picked a sticker to decorate their journals and I explained step by step the expectations when completing their journal. We mainly focus on these 3 things: use of uppercase when beginning a sentence, use of finger space between words and end the sentence with a period. We also talked about how the picture we draw must match what we are talking about in the journal.
After lunch and indoor recess, we had French class and practiced our poems. In math we practiced creating ABB, ABC and ABAB patterns using beads.
After second lunch and recess, we had reading buddies.
Have a fantastic evening everyone!
