Today we began the day with gym class, snacks, morning circle time and music class. FYI when we have music class, our morning is shorter. We only have about 30 minutes to work on a language activity/skill. Today in language we sang our phonics songs - Abeka and Jolly phonics. Next, JKs used dry erase boards to practice their printing.
After lunch and recess, we did some Halloween activities dealing with numeracy and graphs. While students worked on these math activities, I called one by one to do an art piece called 'super squished monster'. We are finishing these tomorrow and will be displaying in the classroom.
After second lunch and recess, we practiced graphs and looked into the steps to complete a graph: pose the question, collect the data, show the information on a bar graph and analyse the data. Today when your child completes the homework graph, please go through these steps. :)
To finish off the day we had centers and Noorah distributed her gifts! Today was her birthday!
Have a great evening everyone!
