Happy Monday

Today we had a great day!
In the morning we had gym class, snacks and calendar time.
Next, in language we sang our phonics song and met our new animal friend: Homer Horse.
Then JKs worked on rhyming words where they had to cut and paste matching the correct pictures.
Next, we had some Halloween fun sorting, where JKs worked together on their tables in order to sort the erasers.

After lunch and recess we had French class and attempted to make slime. Our recipe didn't work. We will try again this week using a better recipe.

To finish off the day we sang Halloween songs.

Super Squished Monters

Happy Friday

Today we began the day with gym class, snacks, music class and morning circle time.
Next we did the Show and Tell presentations.
After lunch and recess, we had French class and our pumpkin investigation. We were inquirers today as we first described our pumpkin from the outside, estimated how many lines and how many snap cubes tall, then we found out what the inside looked, smelled and felt like.
Next, we counted how many seeds and carved into a jack-o-lantern.

After second lunch and recess, we did some Halloween numeracy activity where JKs had to count the spiders matching the number on the page.

Have a great weekend everyone!
